Stabilator and Tailcone Construction

After building the vertical stabilizer and rudder you build the other control surfaces on the tail section.  These include the stabilator (elevator) and the anti-servo tabs which attach to the stabilator.  The anti-servo tabs attach directly to the electric trim servo.

This is one of two anti-servo tabs that were built.

Vertical stabilizer is on my right, rudder under my right hand and the skeleton of the stabilator in my leftt hand.

Tailcone frames prepped for assembly.
By far the aft frame of the tailcone is the most complex.

I can still lift my plane, but not for long.

After adding the vertical stabilizer and stabilator to the tailcone I moved the completed unit to my garage.

It did fit. I had to take the doors off, but it fit through as planned.

I added the vertical stabilizer and rudder top fairings in the garage.
